Day four, five, six, seventeen, twenty five . . .

This is never going to end. Burned OUT.




I haven't updated because I'm just too stinking tired. But, Craig had to run off for a few so I'm taking a break. We're done priming the kitchen, and one half has one coat of paint. I'm thinking it will need a gazillion more, because red has got to be the worst color to paint with. The blue was easy. Red is very difficult.

My house is a mess, but here's a pic of all colors together.

I really wanted to have the red done by tonight, but I'm not sure that's happening. I have to leave at 4:30 to sing at church.

So, maybe tomorrow I'll have the final pics :-)

Day THREE

I haven't had a chance to post about blue day. We were only able to do one coat because we had a family party to attend, so today we will do the 2nd coat of blue in the living room, and hopefully start priming the kitchen for red.

Day TWO

The kitchen and dining room ceilings are done, and we're almost done with the living room's first coat. Craig will be leaving me in a few hours and I'll be alone to finish up. Here's what it looks like so far:

Xavier does not like being trapped in his bedroom and hallway for 1/2 the day.

Tomorrow we start painting the walls red and blue. Mandy said she'd come over and help me, and that makes me happy :-) If anyone else is inclined to help, I won't turn you away!

Hello, storm.....and other things.

This is what the beginning of a storm looks like when it's approximately 70 miles away.

This part is a little closer.....

I enjoy a good storm, although I just heard on TV that there are some tornado sirens going off in Livonia or something. Eek!

In other news, they're still looking for our scary ex-con felon prisoner bank robber guy. This dude robbed some banks, rented a house in my city, and has been living off the thousands of dollars he's stolen from banks. It's crazy to think that this guy could have easily been my neighbor. The US Marshall has been around, as well as lots of scary looking choppers flying about. Strange times in Newport.

And as of right now, there will be no more cupcakes in my near future. After many attempts to eating healthy these past few months, I'm finally ready fo' real. I'm currently reading Breaking Free from Emotional Eating by Geneen Roth. I'm enjoying it, in a sad, dark kind of way. I guess if you suffer from any kind of addiction or eating disorder, you probably know what I'm talking about.

We're finally starting to paint the inside of this house. It was built almost 2 years ago, and we haven't painted anything. It came with lovely off-white flat paint walls, that with 3 children, have become a mess. We started with the girls' room and next is Xavier's. Then it's onto the living areas of the house. We still don't have a back yard, but whatever. I've given up on that. Maybe someday the Landscape Fairy will visit us and surprise us with some grass, or something.
